MY VERY OWN SLIPPING HOMER

Why do my nose run?On this windy day, I'm carrying 3 packs of tissue so that at any given time, I will have a hygienic time cleaning up my mucus which, frankly seems to be on overflow. It's been 2 days now since my nose started running. Funny. It reminds me of the days in secondary school, where I would take one entire box of Kleenex tissues to school. Very cool. No lack of tissues for the ever-flowing mucus; just a lot of requests for free tissues by my cheapo friends.Feeling light headed now. Feeling quite disturbed that Valentine's Day, the 2nd ultra rip-off and super consumerism day (after Christmas, of course) is here. I should just take the advice from a tee shirt I saw.It stated," Love means nothing to a TENNIS player".Well, if you get it, encourage me to be a tennis player. If you don't, then er... we can try learning tennis together so you'll understand.Am trying to be super hardworking with school work, even to the point of not meeting friends for activities after school anymore. Some sacrifice I have to make. (But there's always weekends!)Should start to exercise and train stamina, so as not be fat and be able to lift legs in gym. Am feeling the "Bridget Jones" vibe halfway through this post. Feelin' cranky and weird. Hopeful that it's just the flu bug trying to do the jitterbug in my brains.Salut.

Hey Mister DJ? Believe it when I say I'm gonna co-host a radio show in ANTI YOO. It's gonna be called "Love Wreck" and Felicia & I will talk about bad relationship stuff in a funny and entertaining manner. Do tune in Mondays 1pm to 3pm. Now, for the anxious part... I know nuts about the controls! Hopefully, we will be able to create a nice show that people can enjoy. Ok. I feel like I'm talking to myself now. Which is good, cos I CAN talk. No dead air please. And goodnight.

A little season, a long way.The university has clinched championships in the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic Games yesterday. We've got what we wanted. On looking at my first ever gold medal from a major basketball tournament, it has been a season where I learnt and immersed myself in the higher levels of play. Even though I did not feel as bonded to the team (a miracle does not one month make), I take in the joy of knowing these 14 or more individuals and the way they taught me to play the game in an entirely new level. It amounted to something. Something that I gained, and something that I can give in future for my team. This season, it was a time to cheer my friends on, and it was a time where my friends cheered me on. Thank you guys, for taking time to watch me play every game. And for the mad cheering that I could hear. And as we wave goodbye to this season and welcome the next, which I believe will come soon enough, here's some parting words in french, "Au Revoir".

A time to recover what's been lost and a time to rediscover what was there all along.I think I watch too much movies.
Good ones, bad ones. And the ones that are largely unheard of.
Have you watched Windstruck?
A movie that is breath-takingly unconventional. A love story that is unforgettable.
And then there's the classic that has exploded into the world.
Have you watched My Sassy Girl?
Unique characters, lapses of fantasy and a story with many layers. Worth watching for the laughs and the tears.
Here's a new one, which couldn't compare to the one above, but still original and laugh out loud funny in its own way.
Have you watched The Art Of Seduction?
Ah ha! All Korean movies.
But wait, there's more!
Have you watched King and The Clown?
The honesty, brutal honesty of the show and its talented actors made it a thrill to watch.
You must now think I'm a Korean Movie freak. Well, I'm more than just a korean movie freak, i'm a universal movie freak. So watch this space for more.

The Accidental ... is a book by Ali Smith, which a certain someone gave up reading only after ten pages. I gave up on that book too, until I had to take a plane one fine day and had nothing better to do. So I sat in that small plane seat, and read all the way till the end of the book. ... is what I felt like today, maybe tomorrow, and totally yesterday. I feel like I've stumbled into a wall, AND I DID! BANG, goes the car up the kerb and into the wall. BANG, goes my heart and my calmness. BANG, I thought everything's over. BANG, first collision ever on this fateful day with the multi storey carpark wall. ... is all there may be to life. The book introduced Amber, a character which this family loved, but they only see her one on one. Is she just a product of the human psyche? Is she real? Do we doubt her because she is everything we wanna be? And at the end of it all, the book says "Are you afraid? I (Amber) am everything you've ever dreamt of." How can I be afraid? I am the accidental.

It's 2007!Gasp!The year of 2006 has come and gone! Shaz's in the States for more than a year! I'm so frickin' old, I'm living out my childhood fantasy of going to University! (Of course, then, I pretended the Chinese dictionary was my textbook; so it's a mystery that my chinese still suck quite a bit.)Sadam Hussein is dead! Ophrah's still on TV! Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have a baby called Shiloh! Tom Cruise's baby, on the other hand, looks too Asian! (So tempted to say "ni hao" to her) Ryan Philippe and Reese Witherspoon broke up! The world has gone "BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN"! Britney Spears has 2 kids, and (thankfully) an ex-husband! Al Gore told us an inconvenient truth! And I'm still exclaiming!
